If you’re a small business in the midst of creating a website, or are looking to start a redesign soon, some of the most important things you need to make sure you’re including are elements like having an easy navigation and clear design, plus some basic SEO, a blog, easy to find contact information, etc. However, there are a few items that can sometimes get overlooked, and they can be the most vital in converting your visitors into leads and customers.

For instance, having links to your company’s social media platforms is great, but it’s also important to keep those visiting your site ON your site- and engaged with your content. Secondly, including calls-to-action (CTAs) for each stage of the sales funnel, or buyer’s journey, is also very important. Remember, not everyone visiting your site will be ready to make a purchase, so have information at the ready for those just doing some research at the beginning of the funnel, as well as content for those in the middle to help nurture those leads into valuable customers.

Finally, provide tangible proof about the effectiveness or benefits of your product by including testimonials from your past or current customers.3
